DeWalt DCH253M2 Review

Dewalt brings you the DCH253M2, a cordless SDS+ impact drill for drilling anchors and fixing holes into concrete, brick, masonry and other uses you may have. The tool is ideal for drill depth between 4mm and 24 mm, thanks to its brilliant design. It features Shock– active Vibration control to reduce vibration, thereby reducing fatigue and improving productivity. It comes with 4.0Ah batteries, which balance tool run time and high performance in the best way known. What’s more, it provides corded power (1.7ft-lbs) without the cord which means you enjoy the portability and convenience that comes with cordless tools without compromising on performance. It has the lowest vibration on the market, 6.9m/s, enabling you to complete your job without fatigue and enjoy it while at it, thanks to its gearbox being separate to the housing and spring support, unlike any other drill you’ve met before.

A feature you won’t fail to notice is the tool’s flexibility, with an impact stop mode for rotary only drilling in wood or metal and rotation stop mode for light chiselling in plaster, render and tiles. The 18 Volt Lithium batteries, on top of high performance and maximum runtime, last longer than previous battery technologies you knew. An LED job light provides increased visibility in poorly lit spaces, giving you the freedom to work at any time of the day or night. Its compact size and light weight allow for working in confined areas and both close and far from your workplace. The DCH253M2 is L shape designed to allow access to tight corners while providing optimal balance. A factory-set clutch reduces sudden high torque reactions in case the bit jams, while a variable speed, reversing switch provides versatility in all applications. An ergonomic 360 degrees’ side handle gives you ease of control even in odd places. It comes in a case together with is two batteries and a charger.
