“70cl / 40.0% – Deadhead is a 6 year old rum in a bottle shaped like a shrunken head, known as a Tsantsa, a trophy kept from a defeated enemy. Unique doesn’t even cut it, as far as this bottle goes. The rum itself is a blend of sugar cane juice and molasses – it is double-distilled and matured in European oak barrels for six years before being expertly blended to achieve the desired rich, spicy flavour profile.”

TASTING NOTES Deadhead Rum is rich and dark, it is saturated with the aromas of treacle, coffee, cola nut, chocolate, filbert, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg, all of which carry through to the palate along with the flavors of leather, anise and caramel that all play in stupendous balance. The finish, lingers and slowly fades with elegant flavor restatements. This is an excellent sipping rum and Deadhead’s assertive aromatics and brilliant flavors make it a great choice for use in classic or Tiki cocktails.
